It’s the end of the year! I can’t believe it’s already here! This month we get ready for the next year! Sacramento Taiko Dan Youth have their holiday party and the dojo as a whole also has a holiday party. This party is always held after Osouji! You can think of Osouji similarly to Spring Cleaning. It is custom to make sure you go into the new year nice and clean and leave all the dust in the past 🙂 This translates to everyone in the dojo coming together to move heavy things and clean like crazy, it is quite the undertaking! But afterwards…Party Time!
Then! The group surprised me with a Sailormoon (my favorite) Birthday Party! I tear up everytime I think about it.
